The Courts of Common Pleas are the trial courts of Pennsylvania, organized into 60 judicial districts. These courts handle major civil and criminal cases, serving as a critical component of the state’s judicial system.
The Monroe County Court of Common Pleas, part of the 43rd Judicial Circuit, consists of seven judgeships. Notably, two judgeship positions will be open for the 2025 elections, presenting an opportunity for new judicial elections.
